ResQ Health is a certified provider of the AHA's RQI "blended learning" training model.

The RQI model requires the learner to complete two parts:

Part 1: online e-learning course (aka "Online Portion" Or "Part 1: Online")

Part 2: hands-on-manikin skills check (aka a "skills session")

The skills session is where/when you demonstrate your ability to perform CPR to the AHA's standard.

We offer skills sessions in 12 locations across six states. See our locations.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

A human instructor will not attend your hands-on-manikin skills session. Instead, learners enter a private training room to engage with a smart voice-activated manikin provided by RQI.

Our expert trainers are available via remote communication to help if needed. Most health care professional pass without any human support.

 You must complete "Part 1" online course before you can perform your skill session.

AHA certification requires two parts:

Part 1: An online e-learning course that learners perform at their own pace;

Part 2: A hands-on-manikin skills session completed in one of our training locations.

Many healthcare professionals purchase their e-learning course directly from the AHA, or receive access from their employer. They then buy their hands-on-manikin skills session from ResQ Health to access one of our training locations.

If you already purchased the Part 1 online course, then choose "skills only" when registering.

IMPORTANT: You must provide ResQ Health proof of completion before attending your skills session. Email your certificate to hello@resq.health before your appointment. We cannot issue your eCard unless/until you provide this document.

ResQ Health's "online + skills" package is slightly cheaper than purchasing each separately. Purchasing the "online + skills" package will expedite delivery of your eCard as well.

ResQ Health is an approved provider of the AHA's RQI program. RQI is a convenient CPR training method that is unlike traditional instructor-led, in-person classes.

RQI is comprised of a two-part training experience:

Part 1: An online e-learning course that learners perform at their own pace;

Part 2: A hands-on-manikin skill session completed in one of our training centers.

No human instructor will be present when you perform your hands-on-manikin skills session. Instead, you will enter a private training room to engage with a smart voice-activated manikin provided by RQI.

If you need help during a skills session, ResQ Health's experienced CPR trainers are available via remote technology.

The RQI training method is fast, intuitive, and convenient for most learners. Every month, hundreds of health care professionals complete our "no instructor" training model without needing any live human support.

However, if this "no instructor" CPR doesn't work for you, we understand!

Yes! ResQ Health is a certified provider of the American Heart Association's RQI training method. Learn more about RQI and the AHA.

ResQ Health was founded by veteran CPR trainer and health care technologist Joe Cooper.

ResQ Health is aligned as a Training Site with Allied 100, and AHA-approved Training Center.

All online e-learning "part 1" curriculum(s) are developed and controlled by the AHA. Hands-on-manikins are developed and supported by RQI Partners (an AHA partnership).

ResQ Health manages the issuance of all eCards. We issue eCards from two different systems:

"Skills Only" learners (who purchased the online course elsewhere, like from the AHA directly) receive their eCard through the AHA's eCard system. This is a manual process executed by ResQ Health staff that takes 2-24 hours to send.

"Online + skills" learners (who purchased the online course from ResQ Health) receive their eCard directly from RQI Partners. This is an automated process through RQI Partners that takes about an hour to send.

"Registering" in AHA Atlas confirms nothing. (Annoying but true.)

The AHA Atlas directory was built to advertise live instructor-led classes that meet at a certain date/time.

ResQ Health offers an alternative training model named "RQI" that is a self-guided, self-scheduled approach to CPR certification. (See RQI FAQ to learn more)

Unfortunately Atlas does not distinguish between instructor-led and RQI training opportunities.

The AHA requires ResQ Health (and all RQI providers) to enter "no instructor" training opportunities in Atlas as if they are time/place classes.

Atlas also does not collect payment for instructors, which adds to the confusion.

Register in Atlas is merely an indication of interest on your part, even if the AHA communicates something different.

ResQ Health does not provide in-person live instruction.

If you prefer to attend a live, in-person class with a human instructor, you can find one on the AHA’s Atlas site.

Be sure to confirm that your preferred course meets your "live instructor" requirement.

More and more CPR courses are moving toward the RQI training method.

Unfortunately the AHA's Atlas directory does not clearly explain the difference.
